LINCOLN, Neb. -- Freshman women's golfer Danielle Lemek (Doniphan, Neb./Doniphan-Trumbull) was recognized by the Nebraska High School Hall of Fame recently for providing one of the Great Moments in Nebraska High School Sports.
Lemek was honored for winning four consecutive state golf championships, becoming just the second individual in state history and 17th in the country to claim four state individual titles. She received the distinction earlier this month during the 2012 Nebraska High School Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
"We are thrilled for Danielle and all her outstanding accomplishments," said Bradley women's golf head coach Mary Moan. "In her short time at Bradley she has already won one event and contributed to a number of strong team finishes. It is exciting to see her talent and drive push her teammates."
In addition, Lemek will receive her fourth consecutive Nebraska Girl's Amateur Golfer of the Year award in early November. She is the first female in Nebraska history to claim four high school state championships, four state stroke play titles and four match play championships along with capturing four state Amateur Golfer of the Year awards.
