PEORIA, Ill. -- Sophomore women's golfer Christie Lin (Calgary, Alberta/Sir John G Diefenbaker) has been named the Bradley Country Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday after helping Bradley to a third-place finish at the 35th annual Pat Bradley Invitational.

Lin tied for 11th in the 75-person field at the Pat Bradley Invitational with a 54-hole score of 225, helping Bradley to a third-place finish.  After an opening round 82, Lin matched the second-lowest round in school history with a career-best, three-under par 69 in Monday's second round.  She closed tournament play with a two-over par 74, helping the Braves match the second lowest team round in school history (295) and finish with the lowest team score in a 54-hole tournament in program history (904).  An actuarial science major, Lin owns a 3.58 cumulative grade point average.

Each week, a Bradley student-athlete is selected as the Country Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week.  The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in class standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.

Lin and the Braves concluded the fall schedule at the Pat Bradley Invitational in Lakewood Ranch, Fla., earlier this week and will open the spring schedule in February.
