KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. -- Battling windy conditions throughout the day, the Bradley men's golf team slipped to 26th in the standings at the Kiawah Island Intercollegiate Monday, with sophomore Seth Trolia (Mahomet, Ill./Seymour) and freshman Garrett Cox (Mahomet, Ill./Seymour) leading the Braves with second-round 83's.
Bradley shot 337 Monday falling from 18th in the team standings to 26th with a 36-hole score of 640 at the par-71 Turtle Point Golf Club at the Kiawah Island Resort. Trolia is the squad's top individual after two rounds of play in a tie for 63rd at 155, following his second-round 83.
Sophomore Danny Masrin (Palatine, Ill./Jakarta International School) is five shots back of Trolia in a tie for 98th at 160, carding an 85 Monday and Cox is six shots behind Trolia in a tie for 104th at 161 after matching Trolia's second-round 83.
Junior Daniel Young (Metamora, Ill./Metamora) shot an 86 to end the day in a tie for 115th (164), while junior Kyle Gunther (Dunlap, Ill./Peoria Christian) completed the scoring for BU with a second-round 88 and is tied for 127th at 167.
South Carolina continues to hold down the top spot in the team standings at 575, after firing a nine-over par 293. College of Charleston is seven shots back in second at 582 with Wisconsin rounding out the top three in the 26-team field with a two-round total of 587.
Bradley is four shots behind 25th-place Butler and trails Mount St. Mary's by eight shots heading into Tuesday's final round.
Play at the Kiawah Island Intercollegiate concludes Tuesday with a 7:30 a.m. (CDT) shotgun start.
