ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- Sophomore Seth Trolia (Mahomet, Ill./Seymour) has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week according to an announcement by the league office after leading the Bradley men's golf team at the Kiawah Island Intercollegiate earlier this week.
Trolia tied for 51st at the Kiawah Island Intercollegiate, shooting the low round for the Braves all three days of play at the par-71 Turtle Point Golf Course at the Kiawah Island Resort. He matched a season-best with a one-over par 72 in the opening round and followed up a second-round 83 in windy conditions with a final-round 75. Trolia finished the 54-hole tournament with a score of 230 and closed the fall with a team-best 76.7 stroke average and eight rounds in the 70's.
The MVC Player of the Week honor is the first for Trolia and he is the first Bradley individual to capture Valley Player of the Week distinction since sophomore Danny Masrin (Palatine, Ill./Jakarta International School) earned the award at the end of the Fall season in 2011-12.
