TEMPE, Ariz. -- After tying the game at 1-1 in the top of the seventh, a Bradley error to open the bottom half of the inning helped McNeese State score an unearned run and edge the Braves 2-1 to wrap up play at the Kajikawa Classic Sunday.

McNeese State (4-2 overall), which topped #1 ranked Arizona State Friday, plated a run in the bottom of the first to take an early lead.  Claire Terracina led off with a single and gave the Cowgirls a 1-0 lead when she later scored on a two-out single off the bat of Ashley Modzelewski.

Bradley (2-3 overall) had just two hits off McNeese State starter Tiffany Denham through the first six innings and managed just four hits in the game against the Cowgirls.  Denham took a shutout into the seventh inning, before the Braves managed to tie things up.

Pinch runner Lexi Cremeens (Dix, Ill./Mount Vernon) stole third after Madeline Lynch Crumrine (Sedro-Woolley, Wash./Sedro-Woolley) reached on a fielder's choice and senior Jackie Roth (Hickory Hills, Ill./Stagg) drove in her team-leading third run of the year with an RBI single up the middle to knock Denham out of the game.

Roth moved to third on a two-out wild pitch, but Meagan Bond struck out the next batter she faced as the teams went into the bottom of the seventh deadlocked at 1-1.

Alanna DiVittorio reached on a BU error to open the bottom of the seventh and advanced to second on the play.  DiVittorio stole third on a strikeout and the next two batters walked to load the bases for Kim Kennedy, who drove in the game-winning run with a single through the left side.

Sophomore Bailiegh Basham (Mattoon, Ill./Mattoon/Lake Land C.C.) had two of Bradley's four hits on the day, going 2-for-3 with a double.  Lynch-Crumrine was the hard luck loser in the circle for the Braves, dropping to 1-2 on the year.  She gave up two runs (one earned), scattering six hits and four strikeouts over six and one-third innings.

Bradley returns to action Friday, opening play at the Stanford Invitational in Palo Alto, Calif., with a 2:15 p.m. (CST) game against Nevada.
