Box Score

WOODSTOCK, Ga. -- Bradley trailed 2-1 heading into the bottom of the seventh, before scoring on a wild pitch and an Indiana error to rally for a 3-2 victory against the Hoosiers Sunday morning to conclude play at the Phyllis Rafter Memorial.

Sophomore Madeline Lynch-Crumrine (Sedro-Woolley, Wash./Sedro-Woolley) continued her hot hitting, going 4-for-4 and collecting her 11th hit in her last 14 at bats; in addition to picking up the complete game win in the circle for Bradley (7-8 overall).

Indiana (7-7 overall) scored the first run of the game in the top of the fifth after Samantha Heyman led off the frame with a single.  Heyman moved to second on a groundout and single before scoring on a Bradley error to give the Hoosiers a 1-0 lead.

Bradley, which won its third consecutive game, answered with a run in the bottom half of the inning.  Senior Jackie Roth (Hickory Hills, Ill./Stagg) had a leadoff double and BU had the bases loaded after Bailiegh Basham (Mattoon, Ill./Mattoon/Lake Land C.C.) was hit by a pitch and Lynch-Crumrine singled.  Freshman Shannon King (San Jose, Calif./Archbishop Mitty) later drove in Roth with a bases loaded sacrifice fly to left to tie it up at 1-1.

Lynch-Crumrine and the Braves had to get out of jam in the sixth.  Jena Malmen gave Indiana a 2-1 lead with a one-out single and the Hoosiers later loaded the bases with two outs, before Lynch-Crumrine got Jenna Abraham to fly out to end the inning.

After going down in order in the sixth, Bradley trailed 2-1 going into the bottom of the seventh before rallying for two runs in the final frame to pull out the 3-2 victory.  Roth led off the inning with her second hit of the game and Basham reached on an Indiana error.  A Lynch-Crumrine single loaded the bases and Roth tied the game at 2-2 when she scored on a wild pitch.

Pinch runner Brittany Burgess (Utica, Ill./St. Bede) crossed the plate with the game winning run when freshman Alyson Clemente (Murrieta, Calif./Murrieta Valley) reached on Indiana's second error in the inning as the Braves pulled out the 3-2 win.

Lynch-Crumrine gave up two unearned runs and scattered nine hits in the complete game victory to improve to 4-5 on the year.

Bradley has next week off and will return to action March 9-11 at the USF Under Armour Showcase in Tampa, Fla.
