PEORIA, Ill. -- Bradley led from wire to wire, with junior Katie Yohn (Elgin, Ill./St. Edward) scoring a game-high 18 points to lead three Braves in double figures and help power BU to an 82-64 victory against Evansville at Renaissance Coliseum Thursday.

Both teams got off to slow starts offensively, with Bradley (12-10 overall, 3-7 MVC) holding a 5-3 lead nearly seven minutes into the contest.  Freshman Shronda Butts (Des Moines, Iowa/East) helped spark an 11-2 BU run with an assist and back-to-back three-pointers as the Braves pushed the advantage to 20-10 midway through the opening half.

Evansville (4-17 overall, 1-9 MVC) trimmed the BU advantage to two points (32-30) with just under three minutes in the first half, before Yohn hit one of her four three-pointers and junior Brooke Bisping (Morton, Ill./Morton) made a pair of free throws in the final minute of the period to give Bradley a 37-30 halftime advantage.

Senior Leah Kassing (Mt. Sterling, Ill./Brown County) was limited to just four minutes in the first half due to foul trouble, but scored on the first possession of the second half and later pushed the BU lead to 47-34 with a three-point play with 14:29 to play.  Evansville got no closer than 11 points the remainder of the game as the Braves snapped a season-long, three-game losing skid with the 82-64 victory.

Yohn hit 4-of-9 three-point attempts and collected 18 points, three assists, two blocks and two steals to pace three BU players in double figures.  Sophomore Catie O'Leary (Janesville, Will./Parker/Wisconsin) scored 13 points in the second half and finished with 17 points and seven boards.  Kassing had 10 points and five rebounds all in the second half.

Senior MacKenzie Westcott (Williamsburg, Iowa/Williamsburg) had six points and five assists to go along with a career-best and Renaissance Coliseum record 15 rebounds to help lead Bradley to a 45-36 rebounding advantage.  Sophomore Kelsey Budd had six points and dished out eight of the team's 18 assists.

Eight Bradley players scored six points or more, with the Braves bench combining for 25 points.  Bisping led the BU reserves with eight points, making 6-of-6 free throw attempts.  Butts and senior Hanna Muegge (Hopkins, Min./Hopkins) both came off the bench to hit two three-pointers as the duo each added six points.

Samantha Heck led Evansville with 17 points on 6-of-9 shooting, while Meagan Collins joined her in double figures with 11 points off the bench.  Briyanna Blair hauled down a team-high 11 rebounds in addition to scoring seven points.

Bradley returns to action Saturday, hosting Southern Illinois in a 2 p.m. game at Renaissance Coliseum.  Saturday will be CEFCU Family Fun Day with fans receiving one free youth ticket with the purchase of an adult ticket.  Pre-game activities include inflatables, poster making and face painting.  Following the game, fans are invited to a post-game ice cream social with the Braves (game ticket required).
