NORMAL, Ill. - Illinois State (7-8, 1-0 MVC) swept the Bradley women's tennis team, 7-0, in the Missouri Valley Conference opener for both teams Friday afternoon at the Gregory Street Courts.

After Illinois State took all three doubles matches to earn the day's first point, the Redbirds swept through the six singles matches in straight sets to complete the sweep.

Bradley (3-12, 0-1 MVC) will continue its 4-match road swing with two more Valley matches next weekend, Friday at Drake and Saturday at Northern Iowa.
