Box Score

WICHITA, Kan. -- Sophomore Madeline Lynch-Crumrine (Sedro-Woolley, Wash./Sedro-Woolley) picked up the victory in addition to going 3-for-5 with a home run, while sophomore Alex Chandler (Needles, Calif./Needles) hit her team-leading fourth homer of the year to power Bradley to a 9-5 victory at Wichita State Sunday.

Lynch-Crumrine extended her hit streak to six games, going 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBI, while also earning her team-best 10th victory of the year in the circle for the Braves.  Bradley (19-27 overall, 9-14 MVC) trailed 4-0, but used a seven-run sixth inning to rally behind for the win and take two out of three games from the Shockers.

Wichita State (14-36 overall, 7-17 MVC) scored the first runs of the games, scoring twice in the first and again in the third inning to take a 4-0 lead.  Hayley Temple drove in the first run of the contest on a groundout and Erin Carney added another run with a two-out single in the bottom half of the first.

Solo homers by Danika Miller and Sydney Stuever to lead off the bottom of the third pushed the Shocker lead to 4-0.

Lynch-Crumrine led off the top of the fourth with her second home run of the year to cut the Wichita State lead to 4-1, but the Shockers scored again in bottom of the fifth to push their advantage back to four runs at 5-1.  Brianne Bond followed up a leadoff walk with a two-out double to score Temple from second for the Wichita State run in the fifth.

Chandler got the seven-run sixth inning started for the Braves with a solo home run and Bradley quickly loaded the bases on a walk, fielder's choice and hit by pitch.  Senior Jackie Roth (Hickory Hills, Ill./Stagg) drove in her team-best 21st run of the year when she reached on an error and sophomore Mariah Cole (Springfield, Ill./Chatham Glenwood) later scored on a wild pitch.

Sophomore Bailiegh Basham (Mattoon, Ill./Mattoon/Lake Land C.C.) drove in the tying run when she hit into a fielder's choice to plate senior Julie Sherman (Hickory Hills, Ill./Stagg) and Roth scored the go-ahead run on a Shocker error on the play.  Lynch-Crumrine drove in another run with a single and Chandler picked up her second hit of the inning with a RBI single up the middle to give the Braves an 8-5 lead.

A pair of Wichita State errors in the top of the seventh led to another BU run and junior Mackenzie Camp (Mapleton, Ill./Limestone) scattered two singles over the final two innings to earn her first career save.

Lynch-Crumrine improved to 10-16 with the win, while Wichita State's Sloan Anderson fell to 6-21 with the loss for the Shockers.

Bradley plays the final road game of the 2012 regular-season Tuesday at Wisconsin (6 p.m.).
