PEORIA, Ill. -- Sophomore Madeline Lynch-Crumrine (Sedro-Woolley, Wash./Sedro-Woolley) has been named the Bradley Country Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday after helping the Bradley softball team to a 2-2 record last week.

Lynch-Crumrine had a hit in all four games last week, extending her hit streak to a season-high six games.  She hit .438 (7-for-16) with five runs scored, two RBI, a double, triple and home run at the plate in addition to picking up both of Bradley's wins in the circle.  Lynch-Crumrine leads the Braves with a .307 batting average this season and is the only player in the Missouri Valley Conference to have 10 or more victories along with 30 or more hits.  A psychology major, Lynch-Crumrine owns a 3.17 cumulative grade point average.

Each week, a Bradley student-athlete is selected as the Country Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week.  The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in class standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.

Lynch-Crumrine and the Braves close out the regular season with a three-game series against Southern Illinois Saturday and Sunday at Laura Bradley Park.
