YORK, Neb. - Bradley women's golf recruit Danielle Lemek (Doniphan, Neb./Doniphan-Trumbull) completed her dominance of the Nebraska youth golf scene last week by becoming the first-ever, 4-time winner of the Nebraska Girls' Match Play Championship at York Country Club.

Lemek won her fourth consecutive state match play title by cruising to an 8-and-7 victory in the 18-hole championship Wednesday afternoon after taking the morning semifinal, 3-and-1.  Since a first-round loss in the 2008 Nebraska Girls' Match Play Championship, Lemek has won 16 consecutive matches during her 4-year hold on the title.

In addition to her dominance of the state match play event, Lemek has won the last three Nebraska Girls' Junior Stroke Play state championships and is the 4-time Nebraska School Activities Association Class C state champion.  The winner of all but one high school tournament in which she competed during her 4-year prep career, Lemek fired a state championship record 67 in the final round of her high school career last fall to become the 17th female golfer from across the country to win four consecutive high school state championships.  She also won the 2011 ArborLinks event of the PGA Junior Series and qualified for both the 2011 PGA Junior Championship and 2011 U.S. Junior Girls Championship.

Lemek will join the Braves this fall as part of a 3-player recruiting class that also includes Jenna Roadley (Winnipeg, Manitoba/Sturgeon Heights Collegiate School) and Allison Walsh (Mt. Prospect, Ill./Mt. Prospect H.S.).  Roadley was the Manitoba High School Provincial champion last fall after qualifying for four major championship tournaments during the summer of 2011, while Walsh was the 2011 Illinois High School Association "AA" individual medalist.

The trio of incoming freshmen will join a group of four returning letterwinners from the 2012 Bradley squad that led the State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Women's Golf Championship with six holes remaining.  Thea Hedemann was the MVC Newcomer of the Year and earned All-Valley honors by tying for fifth in the league championship, while fellow sophomore Christie Lin led the 2011-12 Braves with a 77.6 stroke average and was the league's Player of the Week Feb. 29.
