RIVERSIDE, Ill. -- Former Bradley men's golf standout Dave Wettlaufer earned a spot in next month's 2012 USGA Senior Open, which will be held July 12-15 at the Indianwood Golf and Country Club in Lake Orion, Mich.  Wettlaufer locked up a position in the Senior Open field after tying for top honors at a qualifier in Riverside, Ill., last week.

Wettlaufer, who has played in three of five events on the 2012 European Senior Tour, shot a two-over par 73 at last week's Senior Open Qualifier at the Riverside Golf Club in North Riverside, Ill., to earn a spot in the 2012 Senior Open.

A member of the Missouri Valley Conference All-Centennial team, Wettlaufer is the only two-time All-MVC honoree in program history and is one of 16 players to earn medalist honors at the Valley championship twice.
