PEORIA, Ill. -- The Bradley women's basketball team will celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day Saturday when the Braves host Southern Illinois in a 2 p.m. game at Renaissance Coliseum.

The first 300 fans in attendance to Saturday afternoon's game will receive a Bradley water bottle and the Bradley women's basketball team will conduct a free post-game youth skills clinic, which is open to girls and boys (ages 5-12).  To register your child for the clinic please email names and ages of participants to busportsmarketing@bradley.edu by Friday, Feb. 1.

Saturday's promotions also include one free youth ticket with the purchase of an adult ticket.  Members of the Bradley women's athletic teams will provide advice for children in their respective sports at mini skill stations throughout the concourse.  Pre-game activities include inflatables and an area for children to create their own posters to display during the game.

Area youth athletic teams (8th grade and under) can receive free admission by emailing a complete roster by Friday to busportsmarketing@bradley.edu

In its 27th year, National Girls and Women In Sports Day is designed to acknowledge the past and recognize current sports achievements, the positive influence of sports participation and the movement for equality and access for women in sports.
