KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Sophomore Danielle Lemek (Doniphan, Neb./ Doniphan-Trumbull) fired a one-over par 73 to claim medalist honors and the Bradley women's golf team finished second in the final team standings at the UMKC Fall Invitational Tuesday.
Lemek started the day three shots back of Cassie Rushing of Southern Illinois at 147, but turned in the second lowest round of the day to lead the Braves at the par-72 Shoal Creek Golf Club. Her final round 73 coupled with Rushing's 78 on the final day put Lemek atop the individual leaderboard with a three-round total of 220, to tie the lowest 54-hole total of her collegiate career. Rushing was second in the individual standings at 222.
The medalist honors were the fourth for Lemek as a Brave as she tied Meghan LeBlanc's school record for career individual titles. LeBlanc won one title as a junior in 2004-05, before winning three individual crowns as a senior in 2005-06.
