KETTERING, Ohio -- Senior Kyle Gunther (Dunlap, Ill./Peoria Christian) carded the low round of the day for the Bradley Men's Golf team with a final-round 72 and was one of three Braves to tie for 16th at the Dayton Invitational, while helping BU end the fall with a fifth-place team finish.

Gunther fired a two-over par 72 at the NCR Country Club North Course Tuesday in the final round of the fall to tie teammates Daniel Young (Metamora, Ill./Metamora) and Bobby Jacobs (Valparaiso, Ind./Valparaiso) for 16th.

Bradley entered the day tied for second, but shot a 295 during Tuesday's final round to slip into fifth in the field team standings.  Western Kentucky was tied with Bradley for second at 288 after Monday's play and the Hilltoppers fired the best round of the tournament with a two-under 278 to claim the team title with a score of 566.  The Braves were 17 shots back in fifth at 583.

The top-20 individual finish for Gunther was his second in as many tournaments, finishing with a 145 for the second consecutive tournament.  Young followed up his career-best 69 on Monday with a 76 to match Gunther at 145, while Jacobs earned the first top-20 finish of his career after shooting a final round 74.

Junior Danny Masrin (Palatine, Ill./Jakarta International School) closed out a fall season which saw him post a 73.80 stroke average with a three-over 73.  Masrin tied for 34th in the field at 148.  Junior Seth Trolia (Mahomet, Ill./Seymour) tied for 76th in the field at 156 after a second-round 79 and finished the fall with a team-best 73.30 stroke average.

Western Kentucky had four individuals in the top 10 and finished 13 shots ahead of second-place Cleveland State (579).  Evansville and Robert Morris tied for third at 582, edging Bradley by one shot and the fourth-place Braves (583) were one shot better than Youngstown State (6th - 584).  Tournament-host Dayton was seventh at 587 with Butler (8th - 590) following close behind and the pair of St. Bonaventure and Valparaiso rounding out the top of the 16-team field in a tie for ninth (593).
