PEORIA, Ill. – The Bradley women's tennis team will add two of the top players from their respective states for the 2014-15 season as first-year Braves head coach Matt Tyler has announced the signing of his first two recruits.

Alexa Brandt (Broomfield, Colo.) and Aimee Manfredo (Shoreham, N.Y./Shoreham-Wading River H.S.) both signed National Letters of Intent during the November signing period to attend Bradley University and will join the Braves for the 2014-15 school year.

“I am very excited to welcome Alexa and Aimee to the Bradley Women's Tennis program,” said Tyler. “They are both great players that are going to help us out tremendously. They both have had outstanding junior careers and I expect them to have no less at the college level. Alexa and Aimee are also great students and will continue the Bradley Athletics tradition of excellence in the classroom, too.”

Brandt is rated a 4-star recruit by TennisRecruiting.Net and at the time of her signing last month, she was the third-ranked player in the state of Colorado and fourth in the Mountain region. Brandt was the Colorado 4A state tournament runner-up as a freshman in 2011, when she also earned honorable mention all-state recognition from The Denver Post.

Also a four-star recruit and the ninth-ranked player in the state of New York by TennisRecruiting.net, Manfredo took an undefeated singles record into the state tournament, ultimately finishing fourth, and completed a six-year varsity career with an 89-21 record.
