PEORIA, Ill. – The Eastern Illinois No. 3 doubles
team of Ali Foster and Kristen Laird rallied for an 8-6 victory and the
Panthers (4-2) rode the momentum of the doubles point into singles action for a
5-2 dual match win against host Bradley (4-5) Sunday afternoon at the Clubs at
River City North.
Bradley sophomore Carly Miles enjoyed a 2-0 record
Sunday, teaming with Kennedy Scott for an 8-6 victory at No. 2 doubles, then
cruising to a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 5 singles against Laird. Junior Adele Henke added a 6-3, 6-3 win at
No. 1 singles for the Braves, but the Panthers clinched the match by sweeping
through Nos. 2, 3, and 4 singles.
The Braves will have a week off before wrapping up a
5-match home stand March 9 versus Green Bay and March 10 against IPFW at the
Clubs at River City.
