PEORIA, Ill. -- For the second consecutive week, senior Katie Yohn (Elgin, Ill./St. Edward) has been named the Bradley Country Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday after turning in a pair of double-doubles in the final two games of the regular season.

Yohn averaged 15.0 points, 12.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 block and 3.5 steals per game, helping the Bradley women's basketball team to a 1-1 record last week.  In Thursday's win against I-74 rival Illinois State, she had 12 points and a game-high 13 rebounds in addition to two assists, one block and three steals.  With the game tied at 69-69, Yohn blocked a potential game-winning shot by Illinois State in the closing seconds and grabbed the rebound to help set up BU's game-winning hoop with 1.3 seconds remaining.  On Senior Day, Yohn had a game-high 18 points on 7-of-14 shooting and also made 4-of-6 three-point attempts against Indiana State to go with 11 boards, two assists and four steals.  A medical technology major, Yohn owns a 3.38 cumulative grade point average and was named a First Team Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete Tuesday.

Each week, a Bradley student-athlete is selected as the Country Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week.  The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in class standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.

Yohn and the Braves return to action Friday, facing Illinois State at 8:30 p.m. in the quarterfinals of the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament in St. Charles, Mo.
