BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Illinois State spoiled Bradley's Missouri Valley Conference opener by earning a 7-0 win Friday afternoon at the Evergreen Racquet Club.

The Redbirds (7-9, 2-0 MVC) secured the first point by breezing to lopsided wins at Nos. 1 and 3 doubles, then won all six singles matches in straight sets.

The Braves (7-9, 0-1 MVC) will open a 2-match home stand Saturday at 11 a.m. by hosting South Dakota State in a “Go Pink, Go Bradley” event at the David Markin Tennis Courts.  All fans in attendance may receive a pink bracelet, pink t-shirts will be on sale, benefitting the Susan G. Komen Foundation, and Team Bradley will be accepting registrations for the Peoria Race for the Cure in May.
