PEORIA, Ill. -- The Bradley softball team will make up two of the three games against Illinois State which were postponed due to poor field conditions back on March 16 & 17, with a 3 p.m. doubleheader in Normal, Ill., on Thursday, April 11 announced Monday.
The Braves and Redbirds were scheduled to play at doubleheader at Illinois State on Saturday, March 16 and conclude the three-game series with a single game on Sunday, March 17. Poor field conditions in mid-March caused the postponement of the series and the teams will now play just two of the originally-scheduled three games on April 11 (3 p.m.) at Illinois State.
Bradley (19-12 overall, 4-1 MVC) is off to its best start to conference play since 1986 and the team's 19 wins are just two short of the squad's total from the entire 2012 season. The Braves are coming off a three-game sweep of Indiana State and will play 10 of the next 11 games on the road, starting with this weekend's three-game series at Creighton.
