PEORIA, Ill. – Senior Kennedy Scott pulled out a 3-set victory at No. 6 singles, but that was the only point Bradley (9-15, 0-6 MVC) could muster in a Missouri Valley Conference women's tennis match against visiting Drake (11-9, 4-2 MVC) Saturday afternoon at the David Markin Tennis Courts.
Scott took the first set in her match against Drake's Amanda Dick, 6-2, but dropped the second set, 3-6. The Bradley senior raced out to a quick, 5-1, lead in the deciding pro set, before cruising home with a 10-6 victory.
Drake swept the three doubles matches to earn the day's first point, then clinched the team victory with straight-set wins in each of the first four singles slots.
Bradley will wrap up the 2013 regular-season schedule by hosting Valley rival Northern Iowa in a 10 a.m. match Sunday at the David Markin Tennis Courts.
