PEORIA, Ill. -- Earlier this week Bradley and Illinois State announced they will play the first two games of their postponed three-game Missouri Valley Conference series April 11 and the schools recently set a make-up date for the series finale.  The Braves and Redbirds will play the third and final game of the series, Thursday, May 2 in Normal, Ill.

The series was originally slated for March 16 & 17 at Illinois State, but was postponed due to poor field conditions.  The teams will play a 3 p.m. doubleheader Thursday, April 11 in Normal, Ill., and conclude the series three weeks later with a single game at Illinois State on Thursday, May 2 at 5 p.m.

Bradley (19-12 overall, 4-1 MVC) is off to its best start to conference play since 1986 and is currently second in the Valley standings heading into a weekend series at league-leading Creighton.  The Braves play 10 of the next 11 games on the road, with the lone home game during that stretch coming next Tuesday against SIU Edwardsville (5 p.m.) in the final non-conference game of the 2013 season.
