PEORIA, Ill. – Inclement weather in the Peoria area has forced schedule changes to Bradley's weekend series against Missouri State. The teams will now play a single game Saturday at 4 p.m. and a noon doubleheader Sunday at Laura Bradley Park.
The Braves and Bears were originally slated to play a noon doubleheader Saturday and single game Sunday, but rain in the Peoria area forced the schedule changes to the final weekend of the regular season.
Bradley (22-27 overall, 7-15 MVC) must win at least two of the three games from Missouri State (20-28 overall, 11-11 MVC) to have a chance to qualify for next week's Missouri Valley Conference Tournament. The Braves also need league-leading Creighton to sweep a home weekend series from Wichita State in order to secure the final spot in the eight-team tournament field.
The weekend series will also mark the final home games for Bradley senior Mackenzie Camp (Mapleton, Ill./Limestone). Camp, who ranks ninth in school history in inning pitched and eighth in career strikeouts, will be recognized in a pre-game ceremony prior to Sunday's doubleheader.
