PEORIA, Ill. -- Senior women's basketball guards Kelsey Budd (Prairie du Sac, Wis./Sauk Prairie) and Catie O'Leary (Janesville, Wis./Parker/Wisconsin) spent parts of their summers taking classes off campus, with Budd taking part in a week-long class in New York City as part of a May interim class, while O'Leary recently returned from a month-long trip to London, England, as part of Bradley's Nursing Study Abroad Program.
In addition to her time in London where she took a class entitled Nursing in London, which combined class lecture as well as educational field trips around the city, O'Leary made side trips to France and Ireland during her five-week trip. The class covered the history of the nursing profession with an emphasis on Florence Nightingale's impact on modern nursing.
