PEORIA, Ill. -- The Bradley women's golf team returns to the links after three weeks off, playing the first of back-to-back tournaments in the state of Missouri, Monday and Tuesday at the UMKC Fall Invitational.

Play at the UMKC Fall Invite begins Monday at 8 a.m. with 36 holes and concludes with a single round Tuesday (8 a.m.) at the par-72 Shoal Creek Golf Club in Kansas City, Mo.  BradleyBraves.com will provide a link to live scoring for all three rounds.

The Braves opened the 2013-14 season with a fifth-place finish at the Redbird Invitational in Normal, Ill., back on Sept. 8 & 9 and started the year on a good note by matching the lowest team round in school history (294) in the first round of the fall.  Bradley finished second among five Missouri Valley Conference teams in the field at the Redbird Invitational and will face Valley rivals Drake and Southern Illinois this week in the nine-team field at the UMKC Invitational, which also includes Cal State Bakersfield, Nebraska-Omaha, Northern Illinois, South Dakota State, William Jewell and tournament-host UMKC.

Sophomore Danielle Lemek (Doniphan, Neb./Doniphan-Trumbull) fired a career-best 70 to start the year and is coming off  a fifth-place individual finish at the season-opening Redbird Invitational for the eighth top-10 finish of her career.  Her next top-10 finish would move her into the top 10 in school history in the category.

Junior Thea Hedemann (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan/Walter Murray) shot a 226 (74-74-78) at the Redbird Invitational to move into a tie with Whitney Cox for sixth in program history with her 44th career sub-80 round.  Hedemann needs 12 rounds in the 70's to tie Rikki Sobel for fifth in career sub-80 efforts.

Freshman Paige Jordan (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles East) is looking to build on a strong collegiate debut, which saw her tie for 27th (232) at the Redbird Invite.  Sophomore Allison Walsh (Mt. Prospect, Ill./Mt. Prospect) will be part of the team lineup after playing as an individual in the first tournament of the season and fellow sophomore Jenna Roadley (Winnipeg, Manitoba/Sturgeon Heights) rounds out the lineup for the Braves.

Following the UMKC Fall Invitational, Bradley returns to the Show-Me State for the Payne Stewart Memorial in Springfield, Mo., Oct. 14 & 15.
