LAS VEGAS - Thirty seconds was the story of the day when Bradley and UC Riverside battled during the second day of the UNLV Nike Invitational Sunday afternoon at Johann Field.

Alon Badat scored a pair of goals, including the game's opening strike just 30 seconds after the opening kick, but UC Riverside rallied to tie twice before scoring the game-winner with 30 seconds left in regulation for a 3-2 victory. The Highlander (4-0-0) continued their perfect start to the season, while the Braves (2-2-0) dropped both games at the UNLV Nike Invitational after allowing seven goals on the weekend.
Both teams finished the game with 20 shots and Bradley held a 6-3 advantage in corner kicks, but the Highlanders put nine of their attempts on target, compared to seven by the Braves.
Badat, who scored Bradley's lone goal in a 4-1 loss to UNLV, broke UC Riverside's season-opening scoreless streak just 30 seconds into the game when he tapped home a cross from fellow senior newcomer
Aaron Birk.
Ivan Garcia knotted the score at 1-1 in the eighth minute when he dribbled into the penalty area before beating Bradley keeper
Brian Billings with a top-shelf shot.
Tied 1-1 at the half, Badat put the Braves back on top in the 55th minute by finishing off a scramble in front of the net for his team-leading third tally of the season. This time, the lead lasted just eight minutes as Romario Lamelli pulled the Highlanders even in the 63rd minute with a tap in goal fom a Richie Osborne cross.
With the match appeared headed for extra time, UC Riverside made one last rush and Garcia delivered the winner at 89:30.
The Braves will continue their 5-match road swing Saturday by facing Connecticut, which is ranked as high as #1 in this week's national polls.
