Box Score

PEORIA, Ill. - Omaha generated very few chances in the box, but a wide array of shots from distance finally paid off for the visiting Mavericks (5-4-2) when Mark Moulton's blast from the right flank was deflected in traffic and found the back of the net for the winner in the 106th minute at Bradley Monday night.

After a slow start, Bradley (6-8-0) had its chances, but failed to find the target with any regularity, allowing Omaha keeper Josh Christensen to save just three of Bradley's 14 shots. Two saves were easy one-hoppers on deep balls intended to be put back in the box after clearances.

Bradley's best chance for the winner came in the first overtime session when Christian Okeke fed a ball across the goal mouth from the right flank to a wide open Desmond Campbell on the left edge of the 6-yard box. Campbell had a wide open net, but his one-timer rolled out of bounds to the left of the goal in the 98th minute.

Omaha's winning possession started after a Bradley offside call. Jordan Gealy collected a second ball after the free kick and fed Moulton on the right flank. Moulton dribbled into the penalty area before ripping a low shot that was deflected at least once and sailed past Bradley keeper Shay Niemeyer at 105:44.

The golden goal ended Bradley's defensive scoreless streak at 316-minutes, 38-seconds, the eighth-longest scoreless streak in program history. It also left the Braves with a 3-2-0 record following the longest home stand (five games) in 17 seasons.

Bradley will return to Missouri Valley Conference action Saturday when the Braves visit Missouri State for a 6 p.m. league game in Springfield.
