DES MOINES, Iowa - Bradley's six players combined for a winning record during the last day of the fall season and sophomore Ariel Dechter improved to 4-0 for the weekend at the Drake Jamboree.
Alexa Brandt and Ashley Thai started Bradley's day with an 8-5 win in doubles competition against the Nebraska tandem of Mary Hanna/Spurti Shivalingaiah. Senior Cassia Wojtalik gave the Braves a half a win by teaming with Iowa's Montana Crawford for an 8-6 doubles win against the Bradley tandem of Aimee Manfredo and Elizabeth Przystawski.
In the final round of singles play, Brandt and Dechter both earned straight-sets wins against opponents from Creighton. Brandt with a 6-2, 6-2 decision against Darby Rosette and Dechter by a 6-4, 6-0 score against Ashley Monaco. Manfredo gave the Braves a third singles win Sunday with a 7-5, 6-3 victory against SIUE's McKenzie Thomas.
Bradley's six players completed the three-day event with an 11-12 singles record and a 4-8 doubles record. Wojtalik teamed with three players from other schools for a 1-3 doubles mark. The Braves finished 7-4 overall in matchups against their former Missouri Valley Conference rivals from Creighton, as well as 3-3 in six pairings against Nebraska.
