PEORIA, Ill. -- The Bradley men's golf team looks to defend its team title when the Braves conclude their fall schedule at the Butler Fall Invitational Monday and Tuesday in Indianapolis, Ind.

Bradley shot a school record 279 in the opening round of last season's Butler Fall Invitational at the par-70 Highland Country Club en route to its first tournament title since 1996.  Senior Danny Masrin (Palatine, Ill./Jakarta International School), who won MVC Golfer of the Week honors earlier this week, was the individual medalist at the rain-shortened 2013 Butler Fall Invite after carding rounds of 68 and 70 to pace BU last fall.

Joining the Braves in the field are Missouri Valley Conference rival Evansville, along with IUPUI and tournament-host Butler.  The teams will play 36 holes Monday starting at 7 a.m. (CDT) and conclude the tournament with one round on Tuesday.

Masrin enters the Butler Fall Invitational with 22 consecutive sub-80 rounds and has placed in the top 20 in each of his last seven outings after he tied for 16th at the Badger Invitational in Madison, Wis.  He owns a team-best 74.00 stroke average this fall and needs three rounds in the 70's or better to pass John Joyce for eighth in school history for career sub-80 rounds.

Fellow senior Seth Trolia (Mahomet, Ill./Seymour) has posted a 74.2 average over the last two tournaments to lower his season average to 76.09.  He is third in school history with 84 career sub-80 rounds and needs six more rounds in the 70's or better to tie Andy Mickelson for second in school history at 90.  Trolia tied for 11th at Butler last year, following up a first-round 70 with a 75.

Sophomore Bobby Jacobs (Valparaiso, Ind./Valparaiso) is the only other Brave to have played in the Butler Fall Invitational.  Jacobs tied for 32nd in Indianapolis last fall and owns a 78.25 average over the last three tournaments.

The Butler Fall Invitational is the last outing of the fall for Bradley, which is slated to open the spring schedule Feb. 22-24 at the Snowman Getaway in Goodyear, Ariz.
