ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- Senior Seth Trolia (Mahomet, Ill./Seymour) has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the week according to an announcement by the league office Wednesday afternoon.

The MVC Golfer of the Week honor is the first of the year for Trolia and the fourth of his career, as he became the first four-time Valley Golfer of the Week honoree in program history.  He earned his latest conference honor after a second-place finish at the Butler Fall Invitational, where he helped the Bradley men's golf team defend its team title.

Trolia opened play with a one-under 69 at the par-70 Highland Country Club Monday morning and was tied for 15th after the first day of play following a second-round 78.  He capped the fall season with the lowest round of his career, firing the lowest round of the tournament with a career-best three-under 67 to climb into second in the individual standings at 214.

In addition to helping Bradley erase an 11-shot deficit on the final day to claim the team title, Trolia's first-round 69 helped the Braves card the fourth lowest round (283) in school history along with his final round 67 helping the team tie for the sixth lowest team round (288) in program history.

Trolia, who's final round 67 was one shot off matching the lowest individual round in school history, finished the fall with a 75.07 average and team-high 13 sub-80 rounds.  He closed out the fall schedule second in Bradley history with a 75.449 career stroke average and is third all-time on The Hilltop with 87 career rounds in the 70's or better.

The Bradley men's golf team is scheduled to open the spring season Feb. 22-24 at the Snowman Getaway in Goodyear, Ariz.
