PEORIA, Ill. -- Junior women's golfer Danielle Lemek (Doniphan, Neb./Doniphan-Trumbull) has been named the Bradley Country Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week after she tied for seventh at last week's 37th annual Pat Bradley Invitational.
Lemek capped off a dominating fall season with her third top-10 showing of the year as she tied for seventh at the 37th annual Pat Bradley Invitational in Lakewood Ranch, Fla. She improved her score each round, capping the three-day event with a one-under par 71 for her sixth round this fall of 72 or better and tied for seventh in the field with a 54-hole score of 219 (76-72-71). Lemek, who finished the fall with a conference-best 73.00 stroke average, extended her streak of consecutive sub-80 rounds to 19 to tie for the second longest streak in program history. A marketing major, Lemek owns a 3.38 cumulative grade point average.
Each week, a Bradley student-athlete is selected as the Country Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week. The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in class standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.
