Women's Golf Set For Johnie Imes Invitational

Women?s Golf Ninth; Lemek Tied For 12th At Pat Bradley Invite

LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. -- Junior Danielle Lemek (Doniphan, Neb./Doniphan-Trumbull) is two shots out of the top six in a tie for 12th and the Bradley women's golf squad is ninth in the team standings after the second round at the 37th annual Pat Bradley Invitational Monday.

Lemek followed up an opening round 76 with an even par 72 at the Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club Monday to move up in the individual standings into a tie for 12th at 148.  She is two shots out of five-way tie for sixth in the field heading into Tuesday's final round after extending her personal-best streak of consecutive sub-80 rounds to 18.

The Bradley women turned in their third lowest round of the fall season with a 302, but were unable to move up in the team standings and closed Monday's action in ninth overall at 620.

Junior Allison Walsh (Mt. Prospect, Ill./Mt. Prospect) is tied for 27th overall at 153 after firing a season-best 74 in the second round.  Walsh is three shots ahead of freshman Ally Scaccia (Arlington Heights, Ill./Prospect), who used a second-round 76 to finish the day tied for 36th at 156.

Junior Jenna Roadley (Winnipeg, Manitoba/Sturgeon Heights) was three shots better Monday and carded an 80 to finish the second day in 54th (163).  Freshman Abby Wellens (Cincinnati, Ohio/Ursuline Academy) also improved in the second round, turning in an 82.  Wellens is tied for 64th overall at 168. 

A pair of teams ranked in top 70 in the nation according to Golfweek.com sit atop the team rankings with #68 Memphis (584) owning a four-shot lead on 65th-ranked and tournament-host Florida International (2nd 589).  Daytona State rounds out the top three at 590.

Bradley's 302 was a 16-shot improvement from Sunday's opening round 318.  The Braves (620) are 11 shots behind Florida Gulf Coast and North Texas, who are tied for sixth at 609, and BU is eight back of eighth-place Cincinnati (612).  Bradley has an 11-shot edge on 10th-place Texas A&M Corpus Christi and is 20 shots ahead of 11th-place Drake in the 13-team field.
