KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- Freshman pitcher Jaelen Hull (Clifton, Ill./Bishop McNamara) limited 17th-ranked Missouri to just three hits in the first five innings and neither team advanced a runner past second base in the first five frames, before the Tigers struck for the only run in the game in the sixth to top the Braves 1-0 Friday at the Citrus Classic.

Bradley (5-11 overall) managed just four hits against Missouri State Casey Stangel and had the leadoff batter on in both the second and third innings, but the Braves advanced only runner to second base in the first five innings as both starters took shutout bids into the sixth.

Missouri (8-3 overall) did not have a runner reach second until the fourth inning and eventually broke up Hull's shutout bid in the bottom of the sixth.  After collecting just three hits in the first five innings, the Tigers finally got something going after a one-out single by Sami Fagan in the sixth.  Fagan moved to third on a groundout and eventually scored the only run of the contest on a single off the bat of Angela Randazzo through the left side of the infield to give Mizzou a 1-0 lead.

Bradley tried to rally in the top of the seventh, putting a pair of runners on.  Sophomore Kathryn Spenn (Williamsville, Ill./Williamsville) led off the inning with a single and junior Alyson Clemente (Murrieta, Calif./Murrieta Valley) followed with a single of her own.  Stangel regrouped, however, to get the next two batters to pop out and closed out the complete game shutout when she got a pinch hitter to hit into a fielder's choice to end the contest.

Hull surrendered two walks and six hits in the setback to drop to 2-6 on the year.  Stangel scattered four hits in the shutout and struck out three to improve to 3-1.

Bradley continues play at the Citrus Classic Saturday with a 12:15 p.m. (CST) game against #4 Oregon.
