LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. -- Sophomore Danielle Lemek (Doniphan, Neb./Doniphan-Trumbull) rallied to win her match, but #6 seed Western Michigan took the other four matchups as the Bradley women's golf team finished fourth in the eight-team Mid-American Match Play Challenge with a 4-1 loss to the Broncos Tuesday.

Lemek went 2-1 in the match play tournament, rallying for a 2 & 1 victory against Emma Salata in Tuesday's third-place match against Western Michigan.   Salata won three of the first four holes and had a three-hole lead at the turn, before Lemek made her comeback.  Lemek claimed the first three on the back nine with a par and back-to-back birdies to pull even in the match.  She took advantage of a Salata double bogey on the par-4 16th and Lemek parred the 17th to take the match 2 & 1.

Sophomore Jenna Roadley (Winnipeg, Manitoba/Sturgeon Heights) played Kaitlyn Watkins even through the first 10 holes and had a one-hole lead after shooting a par on the par-3 11th.  Watkins stormed back with five consecutive pars and closed out a 3 & 2 win with a par on the 16th.

Western Michigan's Laura Moutrey was a 3 & 1 winner at the #3 spot in the lineup against sophomore Allison Walsh (Mt. Prospect, Ill./Mt. Prospect).  Moutrey erased a one-hole Walsh lead by winning the seventh, eighth and ninth before eventually going up four holes with a par on the 13th.  Another par for Moutrey on the 17th closed out the match.

Freshman Paige Jordan (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles East) was one hole back with five to go before Chloe Lawrie won their matchup at #4 with a flurry.  Lawrie had three consecutive pars and went on take the match 4 & 2.

Like Jordan, junior Katarina Mangieri (Galesburg, Ill./Galesburg) trailed Heather Marks by one hole through 13 before Marks went on to claim the next three holes.  Marks was a 4 & 2 winner at #5 as she helped close out the 4-1 win for the Broncos.

Toledo took the team title with a 3-2 victory against #2 seed Bowling Green in the championship matchup.  Northern Illinois finished fifth with a 3-1 victory against Cleveland State and fourth-seeded Ohio was seventh with a 4-1 win over Akron.

Bradley returns to action Feb. 24 & 25 at the Islander Classic Corpus Christi, Texas.
