SOUTH BEND, Ind. – For the second consecutive week the Bradley women's track and field team broke the school record in the distance medley relay, finishing fourth in the event at the Meyo Invitational Friday.
Sophomores Rachel Sudbury (Tomahawk, Wis./Tomahawk), Emily Delvo (Springfield, Ill./Sacred Heart Griffin) and Kristen Busch (Waterloo, Ill./Freeburg) in addition to junior Kyela Specht (Munster, Ind./Munster) shaved another five seconds off the school record in the distance medley relay Friday with a time of 11:45.06 to finish fourth during the opening day of competition of the Meyo Invite. Bradley's time of 11:45.06 is the fastest in the Missouri Valley Conference this season.
Last week at the Indiana Relays Sudbury, Delvo, Specht and freshman Casey Kramer (Yorkville, Ill./Yorkville) topped the previous school record of 11:55.21 set in 2010 with a time of 11:50.31.
Bradley will continue competition at the Meyo Invitational Saturday in addition to running at the Southern Illinois Invitational in Carbondale, Ill.
