SPRINGBORO, Ohio - Megan Brdicka rallied from a 6-0 loss in her second set versus Cassia Wojtalik in No. 6 singles for a 6-3 victory in the deciding third set, lifting host Wright State (4-9) to a 4-3 win against the Bradley women's tennis team Saturday afternoon at the South Regency Tennis Center.
Bradley earned the doubles point when Wojtalik and freshman Ariel Dechter teamed for an 8-7 win at No. 3 doubles, after Carly Miles and Ashley Thai cruised to an 8-0 win at No. 2 doubles.
Miles added a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 5 singles for a 2-0 Bradley lead, but Wright State won the next three points at Nos. 2, 3 and 4 singles to close in on the team win. Bradley senior Adele Henke tied things up when she rallied from a 6-1 loss in her first set at No. 1 singles for 6-3, 6-2 wins in the final two sets.
The Braves (3-8) will return to action March 26 when they open Missouri Valley Conference play March 26 at I-74 rival Illinois State, a 3 p.m. match at the Gregory Street Tennis Courts in Normal.
