NORMAN, Okla. – Defending national champion Oklahoma limited Bradley to four hits and the 16th-ranked Sooners hit a pair of home runs in the third to top the Braves 8-0 in six innings Tuesday.

Bradley (10-16 overall) had runners at first and second in the first inning after senior Brianne Joseph (Post Falls, Idaho/Post Falls) reached on an error and junior Alyson Clemente (Murrieta, Calif./Murrieta Valley) singled, but the Braves were unable to push a run across in the opening frame.

Three Bradley errors in the bottom of the second led to a pair of unearned runs for Oklahoma (19-8 overall).  Brittany Williams drew a one-out walk and she came around to score on a pair of BU errors.  The Sooners added another run on the third error of the inning for the Braves to take a 2-0 lead.

Joseph collected the first of her two hits in the contest with a two-out single in the top of the third and sophomore Kathryn Spenn (Williamsville, Ill./Williamsville) followed with a double, but OU starter Kelsey Stevens got out of the jam as Bradley left a pair of runners in scoring position.

Second-Team All-American Shelby Pendley led off the bottom of the bottom of the third with a solo home run and Oklahoma pushed the advantage to 6-0 with a three-run homer by Leslie Miller.

Bradley had just one runner reach base in the final three innings, with Joseph capping a 2-for-3 day with a single to lead off the sixth and the Sooners added two runs in the bottom half of the sixth to close out the 8-0 victory.  Whitney Ellis had a bases loaded single and Williams drove in the final run of the game with RBI single to second as Oklahoma improved to 8-1 at home with the 8-0 win.

Senior Madeline Lynch-Crumrine (Sedro-Woolley, Wash./Sedro-Woolley) suffered the loss for the Braves to fall to 6-8 on the year.  Georgia Casey picked up the win for Oklahoma in relief to improve her record to 2-2.

Bradley returns to action Wednesday playing a 5 p.m. game at 17th-ranked Tulsa.
