TULSA, Okla. – Tulsa jumped out to a 6-0 lead and the 17th-ranked Golden Hurricane won its seventh consecutive game with an 8-2 victory against visiting Bradley Thursday.

Junior Alyson Clemente (Murrieta, Calif./Murrieta Valley) pushed her team-best RBI total to 19 with a two-run single in the fifth, but Bradley (10-17 overall) couldn't dig out of a six-run hole as Tulsa (25-3 overall) improved to 7-0 at home this spring with the 8-2 win.

After the Braves left a runner at third in the top of the first inning, the Golden Hurricane took advantage of a leadoff double and pushed two runs across in the bottom half of the frame.  Jill Barrett doubled to open the inning and scored on a groundout.  Tulsa added another run on a Bradley error to go in front 2-0.

Bradley left a pair of runners in scoring position in the top of the second and a two-run homer by Haley Henshaw pushed the Golden Hurricane lead to 4-0.  Julie Kernen led off the bottom of the fourth with a solo homer and Tulsa took a 6-0 lead with a RBI single off the bat of Erica Sampson later in the inning.

The Braves had runners at second and third with one out in the top of the fifth after back-to-back singles by freshman Kelly Kapp (Freeburg, Ill./Gibault Catholic) and sophomore Kathryn Spenn (Williamsville, Ill./Williamsville) for Clemente, who ripped a two-out, two-run single up the middle to cut the Tulsa advantage to 6-2.

Tulsa got the two runs back in the bottom half of the fifth on a RBI bases-loaded singles by Henshaw and Barrett as the Golden Hurricane built an 8-2 lead.

Bradley managed one hit off Tulsa pitcher Bailey Erwin in the final two frames as the Braves dropped to 1-7 in true road games this spring with the 8-2 setback.  Four of Bradley's seven road losses have been to ranked teams and all seven losses have come to teams which were in the 2013 NCAA Tournament.

Freshman Jaelen Hull (Clifton, Ill./Bishop McNamara) took the loss for Bradley to fall to 2-9 on the year.  Erwin improved to 8-0 on the season with the victory for Tulsa, striking out seven and walking none in the complete game effort.

Bradley will return to Springfield, Mo., Thursday to play Missouri State at 4 p.m. to make up Sunday's postponed contest.
