MILWAUKEE, Wis. - Adele Henke won both her singles and doubles matches Saturday, but it was not enough for the Bradley women's tennis team as Milwaukee (8-7) pulled out a 5-2 win against the visiting Braves (3-10) Saturday afternoon at Elite Sports Club North Shore.
Henke teamed with Sarah Rodefeld for an 8-2 win at No. 1 doubles, but the Panthers claimed the doubles point by edging out an 8-6 win at No. 2 doubles after also taking No. 3 doubles, 8-3.
Henke also rolled to a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 1 singles, while freshman Ariel Dechter secured a 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 2 singles. The Panthers pulled out the win, however, by sweeping the four remaining singles matches, winning four of the nine sets in those matches by 7-5 scores.
The Braves will conclude an 8-match road swin Sunday by visiting Green Bay for a 10 a.m. dual at Western Racquet & Fitness in Green Bay.
