WATERLOO, Iowa - Senior Adele Henke rallied for a 3-set win at No. 1 singles, but that was Bradley's lone point in a 6-1 Missouri Valley Conference women's tennis loss at UNI (12-10, 2-3 MVC) Sunday at Black Hawk Tennis Club.
After dropping all three doubles matches by identical 8-2 scores, UNI clinched the team victory with straight-sets wins at Nos. 3, 4 and 5 singles.
The remaining three singles matches all went to three sets. Henke bounced from a 2-6 loss in her first set against Jieke Stroobant by winning the second set 6-2 and the third set 6-4. Ariel Dechter (No. 2 singles) and Elizabeth Przystawski (No. 6), both fell in their third sets after extending their matches with 6-4 wins in the second set.
Bradley (4-14, 0-4 MVC) will close out the 2014 regular-season with a pair of home matches next weekend at the David Markin Tennis Courts: Friday (3 p.m.) vs. Southern Illinois and Saturday (1 p.m.) against Evansville.
