SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – Sophomore Danielle Lemek (Doniphan, Neb./Doniphan-Trumbull) is still in the lead at the Missouri Valley Conference Women's Golf Championship after shooting a two-under 70 and the Bradley women's golf team has a two-shot lead on the field after Monday's second round.

On a damp afternoon at the par-72 Panther Creek Country Club, Lemek and the Braves battled the weather conditions and are still atop both the team and individual leaderboards heading into Tuesday's final round.  Lemek had the big shot of the day, firing an eagle on the par-4, 350-yard 17th hole with an eight-iron from 130 yards.

Bradley opened the day with a three shot lead on the field and the Braves still hold a two-shot edge on pre-championship favorite Wichita State.  The Braves shot 306 to close Monday's second round with a total of 599, while the Shockers carded a 304 and are two back at 601.

Several teams are in the hunt after two days of play with Indiana State four shots off the pace in third at 603 and Illinois State seven shots back in fourth (606).  Southern Illinois and Missouri State are tied for fifth (608) with the Bears carding the lowest round of the day at 303.  Seventh-place Evansville is 12 shots behind Bradley at 611.  Drake ended the day in eighth (616), with Northern Iowa (9th – 620) and Loyola (10th – 622) completing the field, respectively.

Lemek's two-under 70 tied for the low round of the day and closed Monday's action with a five-shot lead at five-under 139.  Drake's Hadley Jennings was the only other player under par, matching Lemek's second-round 70.  Indiana State's McCall Christopher is five shots back in second at 144 and Alejandra Arellano of Wichita State is third at 145.

Sophomore Allison Walsh (Mt. Prospect, Ill,./Mt. Prospect) shot a six-over 78 and is tied for 12th at 151, while fellow sophomore Jenna Roadley (Winnipeg, Manitoba/Sturgeon Heights) finished the day tied for 18th at 152 after firing a 79.  Freshman Paige Jordan (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles East) matched Roadley's 79  and is tied for 32nd (157).  Junior Katarina Mangieri (Galesburg, Ill./Galesburg) shot an 83 to round out the team scoring for the Braves and is tied for 43rd (162).
