PEORIA, Ill. -- Freshman Ally Scaccia (Arlington Heights, Ill./Prospect) ended her summer on a high note, by claiming the girl's title at the Mid-American Junior Golf Tour's Illinois Classic Tuesday.  Scaccia won the tournament by two strokes, while sophomore Paige Jordan (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles East) tied for third in the women's college division.

After an opening-round three-over 75 Monday at the par-72 Stone Creek Golf Club, Scaccia came back Tuesday to shoot a 77.  Her 36-hole score of 152 was two shots better than second-place finisher and 2013 Illinois Classic champion Nikki Marquardt, who shot 154.

Jordan, who competed in the girl's division at last year's event, tied for third in the college division tournament with a two-round total of 161.  She was in a three-way tie for the lead after firing an opening-round 77 Monday and finished out play with an 84 to finish four shots behind individual medalist Grace Kil (157). 

The Bradley women's golf team is scheduled to open the 2014-15 season Sept. 7 & 8 at the Redbird Invitational in Normal, Ill.
