PEORIA, Ill. -- The Bradley women's golf team marks the halfway point of the fall schedule Monday and Tuesday at the Johnie Imes Invitational in Columbia, Mo. The Braves will play in the Johnie Imes Invite for the sixth time in eight years.
Play at the par-72 Club at Old Hawthorne is scheduled to tee off Monday at 8:15 a.m. with a shotgun start and the opening day will feature 36 holes. Tuesday's final round is slated to begin at 8 a.m. BradleyBraves.com will provide a link to live scoring for all three rounds.
Bradley has finished in the middle of pack of each of its first two tournaments on the fall schedule and will be challenging 14 other teams Monday and Tuesday at the Johnie Imes Invitational. The Braves will compete with Illinois State for the third consecutive tournament and will be joined by Missouri Valley Conference foes Southern Illinois and Wichita State.
The 15-team field also includes tournament-host Missouri and Big 12 Conference member Kansas State along with three teams from the state of Florida in Florida Gulf Coast, Florida International and South Florida. The tournament also includes Coastal Carolina, Middle Tennessee State, Arkansas-Little Rock, UMKC, Oklahoma City and Redlands Community College.
Junior Danielle Lemek (Doniphan, Neb. (Doniphan-Trumbull) won medalist honors against a strong field at the Cardinal Cup in Louisville, Ky., back on Sept. 15 & 16 in the last outing for the Braves as she wrapped up play with back-to-back three-under par 69's. Lemek, who has won top individual honors in three of her last four tournaments, owns a team-best 72.83 stroke average this fall and owns a 72.27 average over her last 11 rounds. She tied for 30th at the Johnie Imes Invitational as a freshman.
Freshman Ally Scaccia (Arlington Heights, Ill./Prospect) has opened her career with a bang after she tied for 15th at the season-opening Redbird Invitational and is second on the team with a 76.83 stroke average. Scaccia joins Lemek as the only Brave to shoot under 80 in all six rounds this fall.
Junior Jenna Roadley (Winnipeg, Manitoba/Sturgeon Heights) has moved into 15th in school history with 26 career sub-80 rounds. Currently third on the team with a 78.67 average, Roadley has been among the team's top three performers in five consecutive tournaments.
The only other player on the roster with multiple rounds in the 70's this season, sophomore Paige Jordan (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles East) is tied for third on the team with Roadley for rounds in the 70's with three.
After the Johnie Imes Invitational, Bradley heads to Maineville, Ohio, for the Cincinnati Fall Invitational, Oct. 6 & 7.
