COLUMBIA, Mo. – Junior Danielle Lemek (Doniphan, Neb./Doniphan-Trumbull) shot a pair of 71's and is tied for eighth, while the Bradley women's golf team is eighth in the team standings after the first day of play at the Johnie Imes Invitational.

Lemek wasn't the only Brave to shoot under par at the par-72 Club at Old Hawthorne, however, with freshman Ally Scaccia (Arlington Heights, Ill./Prospect) firing a two-under 70 in the second round.  Scaccia's 70 is tied for the 11th lowest round in school history.

The duo helped Bradley card an eight-over 296 in the afternoon round, which is tied for the eighth lowest team round in program history, as the Braves finished Monday's action eighth in the team standings at 596.

Lemek's 71's gives her four consecutive rounds under par and she enters Tuesday's final round tied for eighth overall at 142.  She is five shots behind individual leader Alina Rogers of Missouri, who turned in rounds of 69 and 68, and two shots out of the top four.

Scaccia is tied for 18th at 146, following up her morning round 76 with a season-best score of 70.  Junior Jenna Roadley (Winnipeg, Manitoba/Sturgeon Heights) is five shots behind Scaccia in a tie for 41st (151), turning in rounds of 74 and 77.

Freshman Grace Henderson (Peachtree Corners, Ga./Blessed Trinity) matched a season best with a second-round 78.  She had a first-round 79 and is tied for 59th overall at 157.  Sophomore Paige Jordan (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles East) posted rounds of 87 and 83 to finish the day in 83rd (170) to complete the scoring for the Braves.

Tournament-host Missouri is 14 shots under par with a 36-hole total of 562 and the Tigers hold a three-shot edge on second-place Kansas State (565).  Florida International is 10 shots off the pace in third (572) and Arkansas-Little Rock is 14 shots back in fourth (576).  Middle Tennessee State is fifth overall (581), while Coastal Carolina sits in sixth (588).  Wichita State is two shots ahead of Bradley in seventh (594) and the Braves follow in eighth (596).

Bradley is four shots up on ninth-place South Florida (600) and five shots better than 10th-place UMKC (601).  I-74 rival Illinois State is 11th in the 15-team field at 614 and MVC rival Southern Illinois is 12th (614).  Florida Gulf Coast is 18 shots behind the Braves in 13th at 618, with Oklahoma City (14th – 625) and Redlands Community College (15th – 640) rounding out the field.
