MADISON, Wis. -- Senior Danny Masrin (Palatine, Ill./Jakarta International School) earned his seventh consecutive top-20 finish, tying for 16th, and the Bradley's golf team was 13th in the final team standings at the Badger Invitational Tuesday afternoon.

Masrin, who has carded 22 consecutive sub-80 rounds, tied fellow senior Seth Trolia (Mahomet, Ill./Seymour) for low-round honors on the squad in the final round at the par-72 University Ridge Golf Course with a one-over par 73.  The third-round 73 helped Masrin tie for 16th overall at 222 as he moved into a tie with former teammate Daniel Young for 10th in school history with his 74th career outing in the 70's or better.

Trolia also ended the tournament on a strong note with a 73 and tied for 34th at 227.  Trolia missed the top 20 in the field by four shots, while Masrin was three shots out of the top 10 as the duo helped the Braves card their lowest round of the tournament (306) on the last day.

Junior Lyle Burns (Mahomet, Ill./Seymour/Parkland C.C.) was 12 shots behind Trolia in a tie for 66th at 239 after closing the tournament with an 83 and sophomore Bobby Jacobs (Valparaiso, Ind./Valparaiso) carded a 79 to finish in 70th (242).  Freshman Daniel Lensing (Spring Park, Minn./Orono) completed the team scoring for Bradley in 73rd (245), turning in an 81 Tuesday.

Sam Houston State had a nine-shot lead on the field after Sunday's opening round, but had to hold on to edge Iowa State by one shot for the team title with a three-round total of 871.  The Cyclones fired a six-under par 282 Tuesday to finish one shot back of Sam Houston State in second at 872.  USC-Upstate followed in third (880), with Toledo (4th - 889) and Marquette (5th - 890) rounding out the top five, respectively.

Tournament-host Wisconsin captured sixth (893) and had a four-shot advantage on Charleston Southern (7th - 897) along with a six-shot lead on Kansas (8th - 899).  Bowling Green and Illinois State tied for ninth at 916, three shots better than 11th-place finisher Rutgers (919).  Drake was 12th in the standings at 923 with Bradley completing the field in 13th (925).

The Braves close out the fall schedule Monday and Tuesday at the Butler Fall Invitational in Indianapolis, Ind.
