EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. -- Junior Lyle Burns (Mahomet, Ill./Seymour/Parkland C.C.) matched the lowest round in school history with a six-under 66 Tuesday and finished sixth in the individual standings, while the Bradley men's golf team moved up into sixth in the final team standings at the Derek Dolenc Invitational.

Burns matched a school record with a final round 66 to tie Tim Sweborg for the lowest round in school history.  Sweborg shot a pair of 66's during his senior year with the last coming in the opening round of 1966 Missouri Valley Conference Championship in Wichita, Kan.  Burns, who had shot a second-round 73, jumped into sixth on the leaderboard and finished at even-par 216 at the par-72 Sunset Hills Country Club.  He was two shots out of the top three and finished four shots back of individual medalist Ashton Van Horne (212) of Belmont.

Bradley had a pair of individuals card rounds under par Tuesday and the Braves shot 289 as a squad to tie for the ninth lowest round in school history.  The 289 was the second lowest round of the day and moved Bradley from ninth into sixth in the team standings.  Freshman Daniel Lensing (Spring Park, Minn./Orono) fired a one-under par 71 to help highlight the season-best effort for the Braves.

Senior Danny Masrin (Palatine, Ill./Jakarta International School) capped off his first tournament of the year with a 74 and tied for 18th in the field at 223.  Sophomore Bobby Jacobs (Valparaiso, Ind./Valparaiso) closed play six shots back of Masrin in a tie for 47th at 229 after a final round 78.  Lensing followed in a tie for 64th (233), while senior Seth Trolia (Mahomet, Ill./Seymour) rounded out the team scoring for the Braves with an 82 and tied for 68th overall (234).

Oral Roberts won the team title with a 15-over par 879 to edge Missouri State and UT-Martin, who tied for second at 880, by one stroke.  Murray State was fourth in the standings at 887 with Belmont following in fifth at 888.  Bradley was close behind in sixth at 891 and the Braves were one shot better than seventh-place South Dakota (892).

Missouri Valley Conference foe Southern Illinois was two back of Bradley in eighth (893) with tournament-host SIU Edwardsville chasing in ninth (897).  Drake completed the top 10 with a 54-hole score of 903 and the rest of the field included Nebraska-Omaha (11th - 909), Western Illinois (12th - 910), Evansville (13th - 911), Eastern Illinois (14th - 912) and IPFW (15th - 933), respectively.

Bradley caps off a busy season-opening stretch in which the Braves play three tournaments in a 15-day span Sunday and Monday at the D.A. Weibring Intercollegiate in Normal, Ill.
