MILWAUKEE - Following a 3-month competition break after a strong Fall season, the Bradley Women's Tennis team returns to the courts this weekend with a pair dual matches Saturday at Marquette and Sunday at Milwaukee.

Playing as individuals throughout the Fall tournament season, Bradley's seven healthy players combined for a 59-40 (.596) singles record, while the three primary doubles pairings combined for an 18-19 (.486) ledger.

"It's a very exciting weekend for us," said second-year Bradley head coach Matt Tyler. "Both Marquette and Milwaukee are very good teams and we will have to play really well to win. The ladies have put in a great week of practice and I feel that we are ready to compete at a high level. The attitude and energy have been outstanding and I looking forward to seeing us compete for the first time this spring."

Saturday's 5 p.m. match at Marquette's Helfaer Tennis Facility will be Bradley's first against the Golden Eagles since 1992. Marquette is 5-0 all-time against the Braves, boasting a pair of 9-0 victories in its two previous home matches against Bradley.

Milwaukee, which will face Marquette in a 10 a.m. match Saturday and Chicago in a 5 p.m. dual Saturday evening, will play its third match in 25 hours when the Panthers welcome the Braves to Elite Sports Club - North Shore for an 11 a.m. dual match Sunday. Milwaukee has won eight straight in the series for a 9-5 all-time record against Bradley, most-recently earning a 5-2 win at home against the Braves March 29, 2014.
