PEORIA, Ill. -- Drake entered Sunday's game at Renaissance Coliseum averaging a league-best 76.5 points per game and the Bulldogs continued their hot shooting to top the Bradley women's basketball team 80-47 in the final outing of a school record eight-game home stand for the Braves.

Sophomore Whitney Tinjum (Stacy, Minn./Chisago Lakes/Washington State) was the only Bradley player to score in double figures, finishing with team highs of 20 points and eight rebounds in 30 minutes of action as she scored 10 or more points for the fifth time in as many contests.

Drake limited Bradley to 23.5 percent shooting and countered by shooting nearly 48 percent.  The Bulldogs, who averaged a Valley best 8.3 three-pointers per game, made just five shots from beyond the arc, but scored 46 points in the paint and owned a 13-4 edge in points off turnovers.

A 9-0 Drake spurt midway through the first half gave the Bulldogs a 27-14 lead and a 10-2 spurt to close the half extended the advantage to 45-24 at the break.

Drake pushed the lead to as many as 34 points in the second half and cruised to the 80-47 win to earn its second conference road victory of the year.

Tinjum scored 14 of her team-best 20 in the first half and is the sixth individual in school history to score 10 or more points in each of their first five games.  Her 86 points through her first five games (17.2 per game) is the most by a Bradley newcomer through five games since Michelle Nason had 92 points (18.4 ppg) in the first five games of the 1993-94 campaign.

Five Drake players scored in double figures led by the MVC's leading scorer Lizzy Wendell, who had a game-high 23 points on 10-of-17 shooting.  Becca Jones had a double-double with 13 points, 12 rebounds and four assists, while Maddy Dean added 13 points of her own for the Bulldogs.  Carly Grenfell scored 12 points off the bench.  Caitlin Ingle broke her own Renaissance Coliseum record with 15 assists to go with her 11 points.  Ingle's 15 assists tied for the 11th-best single game total in MVC history.

The game wrapped up an eight-game home stand for Bradley, which ranks as the second longest home stand in conference history.

Bradley will play five of the next seven games on the road, starting Friday with a 6 p.m. (CST) game at Indiana State.
