PEORIA, IL - Sophomore Haran Dunderdale ran a career-best time in the 8K, pacing Bradley's four eligible entries in the 12th annual Bradley Classic Friday afternoon at Newman Golf Course.

Freshman Will Anderson (25:26.3) also ran a career-best 8K time Friday for the Braves, while junior Steffen Uhrich (25:36.9) missed his career-best effort by just three-tenths of a second. Dunderdale (25:07.8) finished 66th overall among the 249 competitors in the Men's Red Race and was followed by Anderson in 98th, Uhrich in 113th and senior Cole Dill in 145th (25:58.8).

Six other runners with Bradley ties ran unattached, led by former cross country athlete Eric Delvo, who has exhausted his cross country eligibility but will compete as a fifth-year track athlete later this year. Though his time does not count in the Bradley records book, Delvo matched the school's best-ever time in the 8K - 24:15.0 run by Rich Kruiswyk Oct. 29, 1983 at Newman Golf Course - for an eighth-place individual finish in the Men's Red Race.

Delvo was followed closely by fellow fifth-year track runner and unattached cross country competitor Chase Coffey, who finished ninth in 24:15.4, nearly 14 seconds faster than his collegiate best 8K set during the 2014 MVC Cross Country Championships.

While Bradley did not have enough affiliated runners to count in the team standings, several of the redshirting Braves turned in impressive efforts as unattached athletes Friday. Freshman Jake Hoffert was 18th overall in 24:27.2 for what would have been the fourth-best top performance in program history. Fellow redshirting freshmen David Rodriguez was 95th overall in 25:25.4, Scott Seymour was 175th in 26:24.0 and Kerry Gschwendtner was 177th in 26:25.0

Friday's Bradley Classic was broken into four races - two for women and two for men - that included 831 runners from 45 schools in all.

Bradley's top runners will compete in the Pre-Nationals Saturday morning in Louisville, KY.
