ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- Senior Danielle Lemek (Doniphan, Neb./Doniphan-Trumbull) shared Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week honors with Drake's Madison Glennie according to an announcement by the league office Wednesday afternoon.

The Valley Golfer of the Week honor was the first of the season for Lemek and the 17th of her historic career as she tied former Illinois State standout Samantha Richdale for most MVC Golfer of the Week selections in conference history.

Lemek tied for ninth at 221 to lead the Bradley women's golf team at the Cardinal Cup in Simpsonville, Ky., posting her third top-10 finish of the year and 26th of her career.  She improved her score in each round, opening up play with scores of 75 and 74 Monday before birdied her final hole of the tournament Tuesday to shoot a 72 at the par-72 University of Louisville Golf Club.

Lemek extended her streak of consecutive sub-80 rounds to 14 for the fifth longest streak in program history.  She owns three of the top five streaks of consecutive sub-80 rounds in program history and four of the top seven.

This fall, Lemek boasts a 74.31 stroke average with three top-10 finishes and has placed in the top 20 of all five outings.  She moved into seventh in school history for career rounds played at 101.

Lemek and the Bradley women's golf team close out the fall schedule at the 38th annual Pat Bradley Invitational in Lakewood Ranch, Fla., Oct. 25-27.
